WELCOME TO RINGSTEAD RANCH

About Us

At Ringstead, breeding, training and showing the Peruvian Horse has been our passion for more than 3 decades.  As one of Canada’s largest and most established Peruvian Horse breeding programs, we are dedicated to producing horses with strength, natural gait, brio and sound minds.

Our commitment to excellence has been recognized through numerous achievements including being named PHAC High Point Breeder a total of fourteen times since 2001. We are proud to have bred multiple Canadian and US National Champion of Champion horses.

Our success is built on the dedication of an exceptional team of horsemen and women who bring extensive equine experience, professionalism and a shared passion for the horse.  Their pride, care and commitment are reflected in every horse we raise.

They're Our Family

A Commitment For Life

We maintain a retirement herd of approximately 15-20 Peruvian horses in Cayley.  Over the years, valued show horses, trail companions and cherished broodmares eventually retire from active careers.  Some may face age-related challenges or career-ending injuries, but their place with us remains secure.

These horses live in a natural herd environment, grazing year-round on pasture with supplemental hay provided during the cold winter months.  Regular deworming, trims and vaccinations ensure their continued well being.  We believe every horse deserves dignity, comfort and care throughout its entire life.  Our retirees remain part of the Ringstead herd, enjoying life until it is time for them to move onto greener pastures.
