Peruvian Paso Horses

Ringstead Ranch is one of Canada’s largest breeders of Peruvian Paso Horses where the emphasis is on Bloodlines, Strength, Gait & Temperament.  We are very pleased to have Senor Juan Jose Vasques Salinas of Lurin Peru, training for us. 

We are big believers in Imprinting each and every foal from the moment they hit the ground.  Each foal is handled extensively and halter broke long before they leave the mare’s side.  After that, they are brought into the barn every 3 months to be trimmed, dewormed and for some practice in being led, picking up their feet and how to behave when stalled.  The end result is a horse that is familiar and comfortable with people and who has learned to trust when asked to load onto a trailer or enter the wash rack for the first time.
