This year marks our twelfth anniversary in the Red Angus breed and the third year that the focus of our Bull Sale will be coming 2 year olds and long yearlings. When these bulls are turned out with your cows, they will all be between 20 and 30 months of age ensuring increased reliability and cow covering capacity for our customers.
These bulls are all virgin bulls, bred specifically to be sold as coming 2 year olds. They have been through several phases of culling and have never before been offered for sale. We will continue this year to offer our Assistance Programs. Again, we will give you a $200 sale credit for any cull bulls you have taken to town since May 20, 2005 you may pay 50% down with the balance due April 1, 2007 and we will board all bulls purchased free of charge until April 1, 2007.
We presently have approximately 700 purebred and 800 commercial cows split between our ranches at Cayley Alberta and Drake Saskatchewan. We continue to be dedicated to supplying quality Angus bulls to our most important customers, the commercial cattlemen.
In this regard, we have increased the size of our purebred herd dramatically over the past few years. In the last year, we are very excited to have had the opportunity to purchase the entire Black Angus herd from Dennis and Shelly Erickson at Get-A-Long Stock Farms. So watch for a bigger Black and Red 2 year old Bull Sale next year!
We are in this business for the long run. We are dedicated to standing behind our product and making this easy to do by maintaining the highest possible quality.
As always, we are pleased to have bulls from Gloria Blades, Blades Angus, in our sale this year, continuing a long tradition of selling our bulls together. Gloria has a find herd and stands behind her bulls the same as we do at Ringstead Ranch.
